We’re Going Around the World (Again)!

Ever since Tim and I got back from our first round-the- world trip at the end of 2014, we knew we had to take time off again in the future for more extended travel. It’s totally a cliche, but once you have the travel bug, it’s a lifelong ailment.
After 3 years of saving and planning, we’re so excited that in January we’ll be starting a 20 month journey to 6 continents and 50ish countries!

Next year we’ll be traveling around Asia, Oceania, the Middle East and Africa, returning to the US for Christmas, and then heading out again in 2019 for Central/South America and Europe.

A lot of next year’s plans involve remote locales that require advanced planning, so we already have a pretty good idea of where we’ll be when.

Follow our adventure on this blog, or even better, come meet up with us!

Wow that’s quite the itinerary! Some months look like they’ll be busy πŸ˜‚ We’re doing a similar thing right now, your trip sounds great! What attracted you to Africa? We’re considering it too πŸ˜€

Hey Zac, thanks for your comment! Some months definitely will be busy, while we are in Africa in particular. Most of the busier parts of our trip are those where we opted to book overland tours with a small group and guide. We’ve only ever been to Morocco in Africa previously so we wanted to cover the highlights of a region (South and East) without having to figure out the logistics ourselves, as I’ve read they can be tricky in Africa. Plus the cost of an organized tour was only slightly more than my estimate if we did it on our own, and would give us more access to local experts who could teach us about the wildlife, culture, and geography of a place (which, to answer your question, are the top 3 things that drew us to spend time this trip in Africa!). πŸ˜€

Best of luck on your adventure!
