For Tim’s birthday Thursday night we used the ingredients from our Spain Try the World box and some fresh items from the grocery store to cook the recipes that came with our box.

We had a blast making pan con tomate (simple toast with a tomato jam and fresh sliced tomatoes on top), seafood escabeche crostini (toast topped with tuna that had been marinated in a mix of olive oil, bay leaves, red wine vinegar, paprika, oregano and orange zest), patatas bravas (potatoes baked with a homemade tomato and chorizo sauce), and gambas al pimento (shrimp with olive oil, paprika, garlic, and champagne vinegar). We topped it all off with a cava spritz cocktail using Campari, plums, and P. Listo jam.
